THE TARPON ARE HERE! THE TARPON ARE HERE!

Large tarpon are making their way through Boca Grande Pass. Anyone who enjoys the outdoors should come and watch them as they make their way through the pass into Charlotte Harbor. Amazing!

All fishing action is heating up. Snook, redfish, snapper, grouper and other species are active and finding their way into the boat. Gotta go for now, hope to see you on the water.

We've been seing some great fishing despite the cold winter we had. Warmer temperatures have brought the fish to life with our charters hitting redfish, snapper, trout and snook. Tarpon are starting to show up in Boca Grande Pass, though not in numbers. The season will heat up in another month or so and we'll be chasing the silver kings in earnest.

Back-water is delivering consistently and a number of charters have max'd out on snapper and redfish. We've been seeing big sharks in close as well including a 7-footer that chased one of our redfish to the boat. Glad I got my hands out of its way, otherwise it might have been Captain "Lefty" Richie Price!

That's all for now, gotta go fishing.
